LIFT Standards started in 2001 with Social Compliance consultancy in Bangladesh. Close collaboration with multinational buyers have entrusted LIFT to work with their local suppliers for upgrading the compliance status. Since 2006 is the company is registered in Germany as LIFT Standards e.K. and operated as international consulting firm on Social Compliance and has developed to a Corporate Compliance Governance Advisor. 

LIFT Standards aims to sustain improved working conditions with increased productivity and envision to establishing a Corporate Culture Change process. This comprehensive approach addresses in a consultative manner the business partners to agree on a remediation plan, best to be implemented in a project context.

LIFT Standards has the proficiency to advise companies in their design and operation on compliance requirements with comprehensive country experience in South-Asia. 

LIFT Standards is experienced in training and developed their own training materials for classroom, on production floor training as well as the methodology of educative theatre on site. 

LIFT Standards researched the link of compliance with production output and thus make a business case of improved productivity. 

LIFT Standards has been active in stakeholder consultations and social dialogue from 2005 with the Round Table on Social and Ecological Standards and conveyed as the Organizer until March 2013 eleven Bangladesh Round Table on Social Compliance.
